CORE Construction: Pine Berry Adult Living Facility

CLEARWATER - CORE Construction Services of Florida LLC was awarded a contract to build the Pine Berry adult congregate living facility located on South Highland Avenue in Clearwater.

John Wiseman, president of CORE Construction Services of Florida LLC, said construction of the 80,000sf facility recently started.

The contract was awarded by Pine Berry LLC, developer of the facility, which will cost approximately $8.6 million to build.

JCON Commercial: The Yogurt Spot

TAMPA - The Yogurt Spot, a Texas-based all natural self-serve yogurt shop, has awarded JCON Commercial the contract to design and build its first store in Florida, a 1,200sf shop in Carrollwood at 15006 North Dale Mabry Highway.

JCON Commercial is a privately-held construction company based in Tampa, specializing in interior tenant buildouts and single tenant construction for clients throughout Florida.

Hennessy Construction Services: Pinellas Public Works

ST. PETERSBURG - Hennessy Construction Services, 2300 22nd Street North, St. Petersburg, announced the completion and grand opening of the Pinellas County Public Works Operations Building and Vehicle Storage Building in Clearwater. Both buildings were built under a design-build contract by the team of Hennessy Construction Services of St. Petersburg and Mason Blau & Associates of Clearwater, the architect of record.

Tri-City Electrical: Winter Haven fire complex

WINTER HAVEN - Orlando-based Tri-City Electrical Contractors Inc. was awarded a solar energy contract for the city of Winter Haven's new Fire Safety Complex. Tri-City’s scope of work will include supply and installation of 120 Solar World 230-watt rooftop solar panels that will produce 27,600 kilowatts of power.

The project is scheduled to commence in mid-August 2010 and is slated for completion in mid-September.

Architects Design Group: North Port Public Services Joint Facility

NORTH PORT - Architects Design Group was selected as the Design Criteria Professional to prepare a Master Site Plan and Phase One Design / Build Documents for the new city of North Port Public Services Joint Facility.

Tri-City Electrical: Tampa International Airport

TAMPA - Orlando-based Tri-City Electrical Contractors Inc. is under way on $1 million of work at Tampa International Airport's new multimillion-dollar baggage tunnel under its contract with Hardin Construction, Tampa. The tunnel will expedite the transport of luggage from check-in areas to airside terminals. Completion is slated for November 2010.

Kraft Construction: Plant City courthouse

PLANT CITY - Kraft Construction's Central Florida team has begun construction on the new courthouse on Michigan Avenue in Plant City directly across from the current courthouse, parts of which date back to the 1950s.

The two-story, 60,000sf building is slated for completion during the third quarter of 2011. The facility is intended to accommodate the courts of the 13th Judicial Circuit and related support functions such as the Sheriff's Office, Public Defender, State Attorney, and Clerk of the Circuit Court.

Ryan Companies: Mosaic HQ

TAMPA - Ryan Companies US Inc. recently completed The Mosaic Company's Florida headquarters building. The 113,000sf building was designed and built as a high-performing, sustainable facility that reflects Mosaic's brand and culture. The team is pursuing LEED-NC Gold certification.

Hennessy Construction: May 2010 contracts

ST. PETERSBURG - Hennessy Construction Services announces the following new contracts for May 2010:

Town of Indian Shores New Municipal Center - Work has begun on the new 32,683sf, four-story municipal center for the town of Indian Shores. The architect of record is ARC3 Architecture of St. Petersburg. Contract value is $3,932,740.

Lutheran Apartments Stair Pressurization - This project for Lutheran Apartments is at 550 First Ave. S., St. Petersburg. Hennessy’s design-build partner is Wedding + Stephenson, Architects Inc. of St. Petersburg. Contract value is $322,000.
