Cushman & Wakefield: Diana Parker

MIAMI - Cushman & Wakefield announced that Diana Parker has been named Member of the Year by NAIOP South Florida. The announcement was made at NAIOP’s Award of Excellence event held at The DCOTA in Fort Lauderdale.

Parker is currently in her third year as a director for NAIOP South Florida’s board of directors and has served on its executive committee for two years.

Parker is a 20-year veteran of the commercial real estate industry in South Florida.

Jones Lang LaSalle: Sandra Anderson, Alice Lucia

FORT LAUDERDALE - Jones Lang LaSalle’s Sandra Andersen and Alice Lucia were named Office Brokers of the Year at this year’s NAIOP South Florida Awards of Excellence. The veteran office brokers were awarded for completing 661,000sf of office deals totaling $152,300,000 in 2009.

Senior vice presidents for Jones Lang LaSalle, both Sandra Andersen and Alice Lucia reside in Fort Lauderdale and specialize in office brokerage in Broward and Palm Beach counties.

Marcus & Millichap: David Ortiz

FORT LAUDERDALE - David Ortiz has joined the Fort Lauderdale office of Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services as a senior associate to concentrate on the sale of historically stable income-producing, single-tenant, net-leased properties and high-quality apartment buildings throughout South Florida.

Prior to joining Marcus & Millichap, Ortiz owned and operated a development company that built office campuses and retail centers in major markets throughout Florida. He has earned the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation.

NAI/Merin Hunter Codman: C. Todd Everett

WEST PALM BEACH - NAI/Merin Hunter Codman announced that C. Todd Everett, managing director, was named the firm’s broker of the year. Everett negotiated more than two dozen leases in 2009, with a total lease value of more than $15 million.

The leases included renewing Bank of America at its flagship location on Flagler Drive on the Intracoastal Waterway and renewing Oxbow Corp. to remain at Centurion Tower in West Palm Beach.

Everett has also been named to the board of directors of the South Florida Chapter of NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association.

MIAMI - Katherine Ward-Darin, a seasoned commercial real estate professional with more than 20 years of experience in the retail sector, has been named senior leasing specialist in Continental Real Estate Companies’ Orlando office.

Jones Lang LaSalle: Medwin, Wardell, Wigoda

MIAMI - Jones Lang LaSalle has hired three top industrial brokers to broaden its expertise in South Florida. Steve Medwin, SIOR, CCIM, and Harry Wardell, SIOR, join as executive vice presidents and will lead the South Florida Industrial and Logistics group based in Miami. Nick Wigoda joins as vice president.

A 20-year industry veteran, Steve Medwin has completed more than 500 commercial real estate transactions valued in excess of $1 billion and has sourced more than $150 million worth of acquisition and development opportunities for his previous employer, Lincoln Property Company.

Calvin, Giordano & Associates: Sandra Lee

FORT LAUDERDALE - Calvin, Giordano & Associates’ Planner Sandra Lee, LEED AP BD+C, AICP, was elected to the board of directors of the South Florida Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council for a one-year term.

Lee is the director of environmental planning in the Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning Division at Calvin, Giordano & Associates, where she has been employed for 10 years.

FORT LAUDERDALE - Berger Commercial Realty Corp. announced the promotion of Judith A. Dolan from broker associate to vice president of the company. Dolan currently represents owners for over 1 msf of office, flex and warehouse properties.

Dolan, who has been with Berger Commercial Realty Corp. for three years, has 12 years of experience in commercial real estate brokerage and also is a licensed attorney with expertise in real estate transactions.

Jones Lang LaSalle: Kevin McCarthy

WEST PALM BEACH - Jones Lang LaSalle has added Kevin McCarthy to its brokerage team in West Palm Beach. Formerly based in Chicago for Jones Lang LaSalle, McCarthy specialized in the downtown office market. In South Florida, he will focus on industrial, office, retail and medical sales and leasing in Broward, Palm Beach and St. Lucie counties.

An economics graduate of Hobart College in New York state, McCarthy joined Jones Lang LaSalle in 2004. He previously spent five years as a broker with Lee Real Estate Inc. on Nantucket Island.
