RCC Associates: H&M

PALM BEACH GARDENS - Sweden-based H&M Hennes & Mauritz L.P. has selected RCC Associates construct a 20,085sf H&M flagship store location at the Gardens Mall.

Referred to as the IKEA of fashion, H&M has expanded substantially in recent years with around 2,000 stores in 37 markets. The company currently has two Florida locations, both in the Orlando area.

Hedrick Brothers completes $25M school modernization

WEST PALM BEACH - Hedrick Brothers Construction has reached substantial completion for the $25 million modernization and restoration of Northboro Elementary School, West Palm Beach, on schedule and within budget for the School District of Palm Beach County.

This United States Green Building Council (USGBC) LEED registered project is anticipating Silver certification underneath LEED for School, and is the first registered Green school in this category for the school district.

SIKON: KAM Specialties

DEERFIELD BEACH - SIKON Construction completed the new $1.5 million, two-story, 25,695sf KAM Specialties Inc. headquarters building in Pompano Beach. Located at 1440 SW 28th Ave., KAM Specialties is an aerospace metal distributor/manufacturer that sells raw material and “net shape parts” to companies that manufacture jet aircraft engines.

The project was designed by Greg A. Jones, Architect, Deerfield Beach. KAM Specialties’ original building on the site was destroyed in a six-alarm fire in November 2008.

CORAL SPRINGS - Pasquale Kuritzky Architecture Inc., a full service architectural firm based in Fort Lauderdale, was selected by Heron Bay Holdings c/o Mack Lane Real Estate to provide architectural and construction administration services for the interior renovation of 8,169sf of office space for Omni Health Management.

SIKON: Publix at Riviera Beach

RIVIERA BEACH - Deerfield Beach-based SIKON Construction was awarded a $7 million contract for the innovative new three-story, 84,600sf Publix at Riviera Beach supermarket and parking garage to commence September 2010 at 252 East Blue Heron Blvd., Riviera Beach.

Terry's Electric: Dan Calloway Recreation Complex

RIVIERA BEACH - Orlando-based Terry's Electric Inc. completed electrical work at the city of Riviera Beach's multimillion-dollar Dan Calloway Recreation Complex under its contract with Ocean Gate General Contractors, Stuart. The complex is at 1420 W. 10th St. in Riviera Beach, in Palm Beach County.

Miller Construction: Cleveland Clinic Florida

WESTON - Miller Construction Company's healthcare team has completed a $2.2 million renovation and expansion project for Cleveland Clinic Florida that demanded expertise in air quality, infection control and complex compliance issues.

The multi-phase project at the Cleveland Clinic Florida campus in Weston included constructing a second floor atop a one-story section of the hospital to accommodate a 10-bed expansion of the Post Anesthesia Care Unit, plus renovating adjacent space to add five beds to the Intensive Care Unit.

Tri-City Electrical: Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino

HOLLYWOOD - Orlando-based Tri-City Electrical Contractors Inc. is under way on $2.6 million of work at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood's new multimillion-dollar, 1,253,000sf parking garage and pedestrian bridges in Hollywood for Kraft Construction Co., Fort Myers. Slated for completion in November 2010, the state-of-the-art structure will accommodate 2,400 cars and will have 13 elevators and two escalators.

GATES: Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport

FORT LAUDERDALE - The city of Fort Lauderdale has awarded GATES the construction contract for the Aviation and Equipment Facility project at the Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport. The 7,400sf building will be constructed on two acres on the airport campus. It is designed to achieve Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) Gold certification when completed, which is anticipated to be January 2011.
