Orlando Fashion Square to host Disney Entrepreneur Center

ORLANDO - The Orange County Board of County Commissioners voted to approve a five-year, 21,000sf lease at the Orlando Fashion Square for the relocation of the Disney Entrepreneur Center.

Representatives of the Disney Entrepreneur Center, Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust and Orlando Fashion Square had finalized a proposed lease agreement, and with approval of the Orange County Commission the center will relocate to Orlando Fashion Square next spring.

Tower Realty signs Sears to 58,000sf

ORLANDO - Sears, Roebuck and Co. signed a lease of 58,000sf for 5.5 years at Lake Emma Corporate Park. The location will serve as a call center for the Home Improvement Products division.

Tiffany Lee Zullo of Tower Realty Partners Inc. represented the Landlord. Aaron Gray of Grubb and Ellis represented the tenant.

Stirling closes 4,900sf in leasing

ORLANDO - Stirling Sotheby’s International Realty Commercial Group recently negotiated two office lease agreements at the Plaza located on South Orange Avenue at Church Street in downtown Orlando.

Stirling Sotheby’s Commercial Group Associates James A. Mincy and John Kurtz negotiated a five-year lease for suite 1120 with 1,974sf representing the landlord, ACM DT Properties LLC, and the new tenant, Creative Zing LLC, a local promotion and event marketing agency.

A.D. Owens breaks ground for Transaction Data Systems

ORLANDO - Design builder A.D. Owens Construction Corp. held a groundbreaking ceremony to signify the start of construction of the new $2.25 million corporate headquarters for Transaction Data Systems, located in the Ocoee Commons commerce park in Ocoee.

According to A.D. Owens President Andy Owens, more than 100 construction workers will work on this project during the 13-month construction schedule.

The project team includes Farmer Architecture for building design and Florida Engineering Group Inc. for civil engineering.

CBRE closes University of Phoenix renewal

ORLANDO - CB Richard Ellis announced that Michael C. Phipps, senior vice president, and Micah Strader, senior associate, executed a lease renewal with University of Phoenix for 42,044sf at Maitland Green II, 2290 Lucien Way in Maitland. Michael Phipps and Micah Strader represented the landlord NEW BOSTON STILES MG LLC. This recent expansion consisting of 14,161sf is the third expansion for University of Phoenix.

Morrison closes 31,000sf in leasing

ORLANDO - Greg Morrison, CCIM, SIOR, principal of Morrison Commercial Real Estate, announced the completion of two office lease transactions totaling 31,243sf for office REIT Parkway Properties.

Greg Morrison and Emily Zinaich represented Parkway in leasing 21,391sf to Welbro Building Corporation for a total of six years at the Maitland 200 building. Tony Jones of Newmark Knight Frank in Miami represented the tenant.

Quest closes 18,000sf bank lease

WINTER PARK - BankFIRST renewed its lease of 18,135sf at its Morse Boulevard bank branch and operations center. The tenant was represented by Damien Madsen of Morrison Commercial Real Estate, while Jim Hermann of Quest Company of Central Florida Inc. and Frank Herring of The Herring Group represented the landlord, Morse Boulevard Development Associates LLC.

C&W negotiates engineering firm renewal

ORLANDO - Cushman & Wakefield of Florida Inc. Office Brokerage Senior Director Richard Solik announced a renewal for Walter P. Moore and Associates Inc. in Lincoln Plaza downtown. Solik represented the tenant in the six-year deal for 5,400 sf. Lincoln Property Company represented the landlord.

The Houston-based engineering firm has worked on many high profile projects in Orlando including the Orlando Convention Center, Downtown Disney West and the Orlando International Airport.

Sperry Van Ness sells 14,000sf building

LAKE MARY - Sperry Van Ness Florida has completed the sale of a 14,600sf office building fronting Rinehart Road in the Stirling Center. The building sold for $1,550,000. The Stirling Center was developed in 2005.

Miguel de Arcos and Todd Haber of Sperry Van Ness Florida were the only brokers in the transaction representing RBC Bank, the seller, and SUS Properties, the buyer. Pelloni Development has acted as the development manager for SUS Properties and will continue through the buildout.

Sperry Van Ness sells Stirling Center Place buildings

LAKE MARY - Sperry Van Ness Florida has completed the sale of two office buildings at 731 and 743 Stirling Center Place, Lake Mary. Both are in the Stirling Center medical/professional office park.

731 and 743 are 10,500sf and 3,300sf dirt shell buildings, respectively. Both units were built in 2006 and remained vacant as the real estate market plummeted.
