Kennedy completes Lake Nona Village Center

ORLANDO - General contractor and construction manager Roger B. Kennedy Inc. completed the distinctive new $2.6 million Lake Nona Village Center, Building 10, a two-story, 32,000sf mixed-use building featuring Annika Enterprises LLC’s new 3,082sf world headquarters headed by golfing legend and entrepreneur Annika Sorenstam. Designed by Charlan Brock & Associates, Maitland, the project was developed by Lake Nona Village II LLC, Orlando, and is at 9685 Lake Nona Village Place, Orlando.

Grubb & Ellis closes $7M land transaction

ORLANDO - Grubb & Ellis|Commercial Florida recently closed on the sale of a three-acre commercial/mixed-use land parcel at 100 W. Livingston St. in downtown Orlando for $7 million.

David G. Calcanis, vice president of the Land Group at Grubb & Ellis|Commercial Florida, negotiated the transaction on behalf of the seller, Orlando Land Trust LLC of Aventura. Jain West Livingston LLC of Orlando was the buyer.

Realcap to launch Southport expansion

POINCIANA - The principal of Realcap Associates LLC of Boca Raton has purchased a 3.71-acre site from Avatar Properties Inc. at one of the busiest intersections in Poinciana on which he plans to build the second phase of the upscale Southport Plaza.

The site of the former Poinciana Welcome Center, the 3.71 acres are situated on the southeast corner of Pleasant Hill Road and Southport Road.

Cotter Ryan to start Savannah Park buildings

LONGWOOD - Cotter Ryan Commercial plans to start construction of two new mixed-use buildings before June at Savannah Park at Heathrow on International Parkway in Lake Mary.

Scott Ryan, president of Cotter Ryan Commercial LLC and co-developer of the 12 building center, said his firm started construction of one 20,000sf office building recently and plans to locate its own headquarters in the new building when it opens in July.

Each of the two new buildings will offer 26,000sf of retail and residential, with two floors of condominiums over ground-floor retail space.

Morgan Group tops Village at Lake Lily

ORLANDO - The Morgan Group Inc. reached a milestone recently with the topping-out of the first phase of its first mixed-use project in Florida, The Village at Lake Lily.

The development at 921 S. Orlando Ave. in Maitland will feature 450 apartment units as well as 40,000sf of retail, office and restaurant space. Currently, The Village at Lake Lily is the only project moving forward under the city of Maitland’s downtown redevelopment initiative.

Avalon Park adds new gaming tenant

AVALON PARK - Avalon Park Group Management Inc. recently negotiated a five-year lease agreement with Paladin Tech & Game LLC for 1,846sf of retail space in the mixed-use Downtown II, 12001 Avalon Park East Blvd.

Brendon Dedekind, director of leasing for APG Management, said Paladin Tech & Game leased the downtown, street-level facility to expand from a home-based business. The three-year-old company is a hybrid store selling games, movies and technology supplies, as well as providing diagnostic repair and upgrades.

Dynetech Centre construction complete

ORLANDO - Construction has been completed on the $57 million Dynetech Centre. Baker Barrios Architects provided the 3-D conceptual design and the architectural services for the project.

The 31-story high-rise tower is anchored by the international headquarters of Dynetech Corp. It showcases 164 residential units, office and retail space, a parking garage and views of the city and Lake Eola.

Construction done on 101 Eola project

ORLANDO - Construction has been completed on downtown's new residential mixed-use space known as 101 Eola. Baker Barrios Architects provided the master planning, architectural design, interior design, and construction administration for the $36 million project.

The 12-story, 301,453sf facility boasts 146 multifamily residential condominiums, 13,305sf of retail space, an integrated parking garage, and an amenities deck on the fifth floor with a swimming pool, a 160sf sunken spa, a clubhouse and fitness center.
